Please join us while we discuss the challenges and opportunities that widowed parents have as we become one of the most pivotal resources for building resilience in our children after loss. Widowed parents regularly list concern for their children’s mental health after the death of a parent, as well as fear of their own ability to parent their children while grieving themselves, as post loss worries. In this session, we will discuss grief at different developmental stages and how parents can remain present for their children’s grief processing needs, take time to grieve themselves, and balance this with challenging their children to develop resilience. We will also be discussing how to practically apply the 7 C’s of resilience into your parenting strategies regardless of age.
