Our grief is a full-body response, yet most of us don’t understand how and what is happening in our bodies and minds. Navigating grief and loss, particularly in the wake of the pandemic, without that knowledge means we are less equipped for the journey. This workshop offers a deeper understanding of the science of emotions, our embodied response to grief and trauma, incorporates mindfulness practices and provides take-away tools to help us all navigate grief and loss more mindfully. Mindfulness and meditation have been proven to support improved sleep, reduce physical pain and tension, ease difficult emotions, offer a sense of connection with others (including lost loved ones), increase immune functioning and overall health, and improve focus and concentration.
