In this workshop “being ok with being alone” I will look at the journey from living in a partnership to living alone and becoming ok with that new space. I will look at the ways in which life was in the partnership and they way in which life has changed since being alone . I will look at the things that have changed about ourselves and also the aspects of ourselves that remain the same and become stronger through the journey of loss and adjustment .
I will explore ways in which we can discover new aspects of ourselves including new likes and goals, dreams, new friendships , hobbies , learning opportunities etc .
I will examine self care quite a bit and look at the many ways in which the aspects of good self care are necessary in becoming ok with who we are now , including self acceptance .
I intend this workshop to be quite interactive and thought provoking around new ways of looking at becoming ok with who we are now without our loved one physically beside us .
I will have handouts of all the slides and also a worksheet in which we will spend individual time and then discuss as a group , plotting some new ideas on a slide together .”
