Grief is often described in stages, but many widowed individuals discover that their grief does not move in a predictable timeline. Instead, it can be stuck in survival patterns that make it difficult to move forward.
In this workshop, Dr. Tina Fornwald introduces five survival patterns that commonly emerge after the loss of a spouse or partner. Participants will learn how grief can become stuck in patterns such as isolation, emotional suppression, spiritual disconnection, self-blame, or numbing behaviors.
Through reflection, discussion, and practical coping strategies, attendees will gain the language to better understand their grief and tools to begin gently moving forward. This workshop is designed to provide validation, insight, and practical steps for navigating grief in a way that honors each person’s unique loss experience.
