Grief impacts every part of us, and the brain is no exception. Newly widowed people experience many unforeseen changes and as a result, they often ask, “Am I normal?” “What is happening to me?” In this session, you will understand how the normal human brain changes with grief. We will discover the areas of control that we do have, even as life seems to be spinning out of control. You’ll learn to distinguish pain from suffering and how to deal with each. Also, you’ll learn to monitor thoughts and eventually become an editor of your thoughts, intentionally choosing true thoughts that serve you well.
You’ll leave with an understanding of how your brain is working its way through grief. You’ll know what to expect, that you’re normal and not doing it “wrong.”
