Life after the loss of a spouse brings waves of unprecedented, profoundly difficult emotions. While this is a natural human response to loss, the brain is hardwired to avoid discomfort—often leading us to try to dodge, suppress, or outrun what we feel. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to navigate the early days when emotions come in relentless waves, and how to face them in a way that feels doable and safe. We’ll explore the difference between avoiding emotions and intentionally taking a break from grief. You’ll also learn a simple, effective process to move through a feeling in just two minutes—and how to do it in real time, even at work or in the middle of your day.
