Caregiving through the death of your loved one takes a toll on your mind, your heart and your body. This workshop will explore the unique issues the caregiver may face after their person dies. When you have cared for your person for an extended period of time, you may feel as if you have ‘lost your job’ after you are widowed. Though you may have done some anticipatory grieving, the grief that accompanies the death of your person after an illness, is still very real. Often the person we knew before illness struck is different from the person we knew before their illness progressed. We will discuss these issues and a myriad of others, as we offer tools and techniques for self care for people who took care of their person through their last days.
