The FidoWidow presentation will be geared towards young widows between the ages of 18-45 who are learning to rebuild their lives in the face of unexpected adversity. In this presentation, I will share my personal story of being widowed in graduate school and how I used my grief as fuel to drive a career filled with personal and professional passion for helping others. We will discuss the ever changing dynamics and expectations of relationships, and in depth look at grieving during young adulthood for a psychological perspective. The goal of this presentation is to provide resources and psychoeducation on how to cope and communicate effectively through the grieving and life rebuilding process in this developmental stage.
