Finding and maintaining a social support network is one of the keys to creating resilience after the loss of our partner. Even though there are several ways to find support, the thought of reaching out can feel overwhelming and exhausting when you are grieving. The logistics of COVID-19 restrictions, quarantines, and social distancing make planning the most simple connection more feel too complicated or even impossible. Also, the effects are compounded by the increased risk of feeling isolated because you are going through this without your partner, anxiety about the present and the future, decision fatigue at constantly monitoring and making choices with limited information. Finding support and making connects where you can also offer support is still possible and even more important than before. In this workshop we will discuss practical ways to reach out and stay connected even with our current situation. We will explore creative ways to maintain our relationships during this challenging time until we can once again come together in person.
