I am excited to present to Camp Widow on behalf of Wings for Widows. It is an honor to help those on the journey that I have been traveling for over 9 years. My wonderful husband Gary passed suddenly on May 1st, 2012 leaving two beautiful daughters and myself to carry on. We were blessed to be together for 29 years. Since he’s passed, both daughters have completed their degrees, married and started their families. My bachelor’s degree is in business marketing and my career has been in banking with over 35 years of experience. Handling the estate settlement was one of the easier aspects of my grief journey because of my varied banking background. This is such an important part of the journey so I am looking forward to helping other widows/ers. My financial background has given me the ability to handle those aspects of estate settlement and planning with ease, so I would like to give back and help others.

Camp Widow provided me with hope, resources and a myriad of new friends who are on this same chapter in life. For that, I am eternally grateful.
