Lois Tucker Keating
Lois Tucker Keating was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Lois’ acting career has taken her all over Canada in Theatre, Film, TV and Commercials. Highlight’s Tim Hortons, Showcase Tv, Comcast, MayDay and Forensic Factor. Lois has toured nationally in theatre as Jillian in Jillian Jiggs, Loonette on
the Big Comfy Couch and her one woman show “Sunday School DropOut” was a hit at the Toronto Fringe – the Toronto Star says “Tucker’s a treat”.
Acting took a back burner suddenly after her daughter was born, her husband Paul was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. After just under a year long battle – her widow journey began in 2010 at the age of 35, her daughter was 18 months old. Nothing was funny and all her hopes and dreams were dead. Time changed things and she slowly got back into acting and turned her day job into a career in business and quality assurance. Lois attended her first Soaring Spirits Regional Social Group in 2018 and has been attending Camp Widow since 2019. She began volunteering with Soaring Spirits over the pandemic and is the leader of the Halton Peel Regional Social Group. Lois is also the Regional Group Leader Volunteer Coordinator East, supporting the Regional Group Leaders across North America. Lois is excited to be presenting at Camp Widow San Diego. Long Live Love and Laughter.
