Camp Widow Tampa
Our first full camp of the year is held in Tampa, Florida. Long known as a retreat from winter temperatures in colder locales, this destination is a favorite for many of our campers. In Tampa we offer hope with a side of sunshine.
Please note: ADA compliant service animals and certified therapy dogs may be on site throughout this event. No other animals will be permitted.
*Registration Notice: Due to the unprecedented challenges associated with planning in-person events safely during this time, we will be unable to offer refunds for registrations to Camp Widow events but we will be happy to transfer your registration to another US-based event within one year of your original registration or offer a donation receipt if you choose not to attend. We appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you in Tampa!
*COVID-19 MANAGEMENT POLICY:
In order to create a safe physical space that supports the safe emotional space for which Camp Widow is known, we will be asking each camper, regardless of vaccination status, to bring a COVID-19 at-home test (If you are unable to find an at-home testing kit in your area, we will have a limited number of tests available for sale onsite) which you will self-administer just before entering the registration area for Camp Widow. The first step of the registration process will be showing your self-administered negative test to our health check team. They will provide you with a wristband confirming that you’ve checked in and are ready to proceed with the registration process.
We highly recommend that in addition to testing onsite, each camper considers a self test prior to leaving for camp to ensure that you will have a negative test result when testing at camp. Please be prepared with a contingency plan should you test positive for COVID-19. Each camper will be responsible for themselves should they need to quarantine or be unable to attend Camp Widow due to a positive test result.
We appreciate your cooperation and welcome any questions you may have about our COVID-19 protocols.
Hotel Commitment to Cleanliness: The Marriott Water Street Hotel is committed to offering a safe stay for all of their guests. Please reference their updated cleaning policy for more information online here.
As a reminder, campers are responsible for coordinating their own hotel reservations and travel arrangements, and we highly suggest making refundable travel plans in the event that circumstances change our ability to meet in person.
