Monique Minahan
Monique Minahan is the author of The Grief Practice, a Somatic Experiencing™ Practitioner, and a Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher.
In her mid-twenties Monique's husband Nathan suddenly died due to a complication with one of his chemotherapy drugs. With a long history of major depression, no embodied resources, and living in a society that stigmatized grief, she dropped into a deep and dark crevasse of isolation and complicated grief for many years.
Now, almost 20 years later, she blends science and somatics with the soulful, human experience of grief in a way that honors the innate healing ability of every human being and every human body.
Monique regularly educates groups and individuals on trauma, grief, and hope in the body. She offers experiential learning with curiosity and compassion.
