Your body is doing everything it can to hold up under the weight of your grief. This workshop validates the physical experience of grief in the body…
Monique Minahan is a yoga teacher and creator of The Grief Practice: Trauma-informed yoga that welcomes grief. Through words and movement she creates safe and supportive containers for people to move with and through all kinds of loss.
At the age of twenty-five she lost her husband, Nathan, to a complication with one of his chemotherapy drugs. She struggled with complicated grief and major depression for many years. Six years later Monique started practicing yoga. She credits the practice of yoga with taking her from surviving to thriving.
She has years of experience teaching yoga to grieving humans and blends an understanding of emotions science, movement science, and trauma - as well as her own intimate understanding of grief - into classes that honor the innate healing ability of every human being and every human body.
Monique recently published her second book, The Grief Practice: Stories of Surviving Loss & Practices for Supporting Loss. TheGriefPractice.com
