Lisa Ruland

Lisa Ruland is a recovering lawyer turned pastry chef and food writer, and editor of the award-winning food website Unpeeled Journal. Widowed as a newlywed in her early 30s, Lisa has written and spoken about food and grief for national and international media, including the BBC World Service, Modern Loss, Food52, Bon Appétit, and The Washington Post. She divides her time between Brooklyn, NY and Washington, DC, and has since remarried.
