Laurie Zymowski

Laurie retired from the NYS Dept of Corrections where she worked in the Business Office. Her husband Greg also worked there as a Correctional Officer. In August 2016 he died of a massive heart attack. Laurie worked for another year at the facility and then took early retirement as it was difficult going into work everyday and not seeing him.

Laurie is the proud Mom of 3 sons who are all married and have families. They have blessed her with 7 healthy grandchildren. She has 3 granddaughters and 4 grandsons (2 of them are identical twins). Laurie's grandchildren keep her busy with babysitting, sleepovers and special outings.

Laurie is a Regional Group Leader in the Buffalo N.Y. Southtowns. She has led the group for 6.5 years. Aside from regular meetings you will find us out and about at various extra events throughout the week. Our group is fun and very active and we have become a large and happy 2nd family!
