Laurelea Conrad
Laurelea lost her husband Steve of 33 years in 2014 after one year of cancer. To honour his legacy since then, she serves as a member of the Patient & Family Advisory Council at the Odette Cancer Centre where he was treated. She also works passionately on the Sunnybrook hospital Quality Living and Dying Initiative to build awareness and understanding of Advance Care Planning.
In 2015 Laurelea was honoured by Kidney Cancer Canada as Volunteer of the Year and by Canada Cares as Volunteer of the Year in 2016. She lives with her beautiful daughter Chelsea who graduated this year with her BSW. Laurelea retired in 2019 after 38 years as a creative director and graphic designer.
Today she is busy enjoying life to the fullest. She will be forever grateful to match.com for providing a platform to search for love again and to Lisa Copeland for teaching her the skills she needed to succeed. And to Mo who opened his heart to love again after losing his beloved wife.
