Krystal Reyes

Krystal Reyes has spent her career in public service in various policy and leadership positions in local government and non-profit organizations. Throughout her career, Krystal has focused on improving the quality and quantity of opportunities for children, improving supportive services for families, and developing partnerships both at the local and federal level. Krystal has a BA in Politics and Spanish Literature, as well an MPA from New York University.
Krystal met the love of her life, Rob, in college. She became a widow at the age of 33. Her dreams, hopes, and plans were lost after Rob died unexpectedly at the age of 35. Throughout the last 6 years, Krystal has slowly tried to create the next phase of her life. Camp Widow has been an integral part of Krystal’s grief work and the community, friends, and tools she has found through Camp have helped her along her path as a widow. In 2019, after being a New Yorker for 19 years, Krystal moved to Tulsa Oklahoma to continue working in public service. Her current title, Chief Resilience Officer.
