Jill Johnson-Young
Jill Johnson-Young, LCSW is engaging and loves teaching dementia, death and dying, and grief and loss with humor, while talking about the stuff nobody really wants to talk about. She co-owns and is a therapist in Riverside, California. She’s a certified Grief Recovery Facilitator, and spent more than a decade with hospice as a social worker and director of social workers, chaplains and grief staff. Her BA is from UC Riverside and her MSW the University of South Florida. Jill’s authored 3 children’s grief books and a grief workbook (more coming!), and created Your Path Through Grief, a year-long grief support program. “The Rebellious Widow: A practical guide to love and life after loss” will be out in 2020. Jill’s a grief expert after being widowed by Linda after 23 years and three adopted kids, marrying her hospice nurse, Casper, at her direction (there’s nothing like a matchmaker in a hospital bed). She’s now married to the funeral director who took care of both her late wives.
