Janice Martin has found that dabbling in the creative arts can provide distraction, flow, fun, and release.
Following the death of her wife Karin in 2011, Janice turned to writing to ‘find her voice,’ and completed a Certificate in Creative Writing from the University of Toronto. Recently rekindled interests include taking courses in drawing and painting.
Janice retired in 2014, after 33 years as a Forester/Environment Specialist for Ontario’s Hydro One. Now her favourite challenge is being a volunteer puppy-raiser for Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.
