Greg Roman & Nancy Saltzman
Nancy Saltzman, widowed at age 43 when her husband and two young sons died in a small plane crash, and Greg Roman, who lost his wife to cancer at age 46, met through a mutual friend in 2003. Both believed in love and decided to date for 11 years before getting married in 2014 in a small ceremony in their home surrounded by their immediate families and the families of their late spouses. Nancy is a retired school principal, author, and motivational speaker and Greg is CEO of a cyber security company and bar owner in Colorado Springs. Greg serves as the Chairman of the Board for Soaring Spirits and Nancy is on the Advisory Committee and the Leadership Team. Working with widowed people has enhanced their lives and they frequently speak at Camp Widow on a number of topics including resilience, story telling, and finding love again. They live in Colorado Springs with their dogs Teddy and Finn and enjoy long hikes together near their home in the foothills and visits from people they have met along their widowed journey.
