Dr. Rachael Nolan
Dr. Nolan is an Advanced-Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, a highly trained researcher, as well as an acclaimed Public Health professional. Dr. Nolan has served as an advocate for the needs of persons impacted by loss and their families. Dr. Nolan’s interest in how social factors and adverse childhood experiences influence coping mechanisms and quality of life outcomes manifested at a young age; particularly after experiencing the unexpected and traumatic death of her father. Since that time, she has continued to foster this interest by pursuing and maintaining various volunteer and professional roles that specifically address grief, grief recovery, quality of life improvement, and end of life. Dr. Nolan’s research specializes in understanding the unique social determinants of well-being experienced by underserved and medically disadvantaged communities, older adults, LGBTQ* folk, and the differently-abled.
