Annie Kuo Becker

Annie Kuo Becker is a heart attack widow, new stepmother and community builder who volunteers tirelessly for underrepresented groups as part of her healing process. Exercising her strengths as a connector and event planner, she has served people with infertility, the widowed community, and communities of color in times of distress and isolation to give them a village and hope for the future. When facing infertility, she built an extensive support group network for adoptive families and reproductive medicine patients in Western Washington. Then, 18 months after her late husband Victor died in 2020, she founded a volunteer-run, member-driven social club called the Club Wid Meetup of Seattle/Bellevue. Annie has a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Northwestern University. For the past 5 years, she has worked as a storyteller/in-house journalist in academic medicine and higher education.
