Paul & Elaine Schlunt

Paul & Elaine Schlunt
Paul & Elaine Schlunt

Elaine Brown was widowed in 2018 after her husband Jim died abruptly from a brain aneurysm. Paul Schlunt was widowed in 2013 after his wife Kimberly died from small cell lung cancer. Both had been married to their spouses for over 20 years. Paul and Elaine met on match.com, after experiencing various dating misadventures with others. It became obvious very quickly, that each had found the right one. At that time, Paul was a regional leader for Soaring Spirits, and a scheduled presenter for Camp Widow. Paul invited Elaine to join Camp Widow in 2019 as a guest, as well as join the regional group.
Paul & Elaine were married May 7, 2022, at a wedding and reception that started small and became big, as family and friends wanted to celebrate a happy occasion after coming out of the pandemic. They planned and conducted a wedding reception for over 90 guests at their house - it was successful teamwork. Paul is employed in the clinical diagnostics industry as a staff development scientist. Elaine is employed as a configuration management expert in the electronic intercom industry.
Both are currently Regional Leaders for Soaring Spirits San Diego.
